Aether Heart: Revolution
A downloadable game for Windows
This Vertical Slice was made in under 3 weeks, during the DADIU course of 2026 by Forbidden Crane Studio (Team 6).
Aether Heart: Revolution is a first-person stealth platformer where light means death. Climb through the colossal machinery of the Empire’s Heart, using shadows and the environment to avoid its deadly mechanical guardians. Make your way through 10 challenging navigation and puzzle-stealth sections while you uncover the dark secrets of both the Empire and the Rebellion.
Only a generation ago, the Empire constructed the monumental beating Heart of Aether, powering its conquest and fueling a lavish life for its citizens. During a grand Victory Parade in Astoria, capital of the Empire, a rebel mage hiding from persecution seizes the chance to grasp its main power source. That mage is you.

Very cool game, I'm especially surprised with the atmosphere and the voice acting!
Mounting ledges feels inconsistent. When I'm holding onto a ledge with both of my hands and try to jump to mount over it, I inconsistently get over it.
I also like the cyber-wizard vibes and the storytelling of Astoria. I sadly didn't manage to finish this game because I lost patience with the ledge mounting stuff.
Keep up the amazing work! <3
